Our consultants will share their stories with you and will lead you down the path that brought them to where they are today.
This ServiceNow Story features Vince Endahl, a Solution Delivery Director based out of Spokane, WA.
How were you first introduced to ServiceNow? What was your first job using the platform?
I was first introduced to ServiceNow in 2014, when my previous organization decided to implement ServiceNow to replace their legacy system. Before the implementation project kicked off, I was chosen to be the admin and lead the project from the customer side while working with a ServiceNow implementation partner. My first hands-on experience was the three-day Fundamentals Class offered at ServiceNow’s HQ in San Diego. I instantly fell in love with the platform due to it being so flexible and intuitive to work with and configure. Going through the implementation with our partner was instrumental in my learning of the core platform. We implemented Incident, Problem, Change, and Discovery.
What other jobs have you had working with ServiceNow?
By the end of the engagement in March 2015, I was very comfortable with each of these areas and longed to be more immersed in the platform. However, after implementation, this position was only a part-time admin, and my other job duties cut into my time to invest fully in the platform. It was partly due to this and the demand for ServiceNow talent that I made the jump to a ServiceNow partner in March 2016. In this new role, I was able to become fully immersed in ServiceNow and my experience really took off. Working in many different client instances opened my eyes to all the possibilities that exist within ServiceNow and allowed me to see the limitless potential of the platform.
In October 2017, I was introduced to Mike Lombardo and Lloyd Godson, and I sensed something special was in the works. GlideFast was barely a Bronze Partner at the time, with only around 20 employees. Few in the industry had heard of us yet. Joining this team was an amazing opportunity and great decision, as GlideFast has grown leaps and bounds since. By mid-2018, we were a Gold Partner, having moved from Bronze to Gold in less than 9 months, and were named Service Delivery Partner of the Year by ServiceNow! GlideFast is now an Elite partner holding product line achievements in ITSM, HR, ITBM, CSM, App Engine, and ITAM. Personally, I have grown immensely in my time here, having picked up a slew of certifications and having been involved in countless projects where I could learn and grow while helping clients at the same time. GlideFast continues its rapid growth trajectory while on the path to Global Elite Partner status. All of this is a testament to the leadership of GlideFast continually striving to invest in their employees and the company as a whole. I am blown away by the talent and passion of the employees at GlideFast who push me to improve each and every day.
What are your primary ServiceNow skills?
A key focus area for me in the past few years has been HRSD. I have worked on numerous HR projects and love to see the value that it can bring to HR organizations. I also very much enjoy troubleshooting platform issues and helping out team members. Other areas where I have experience are Core Platform, ITSM, PPM, CSM, Service Portal, and Custom Applications. I hold many ServiceNow certifications, including ITSM, HR, CSM, PPM, Application Developer, 4 Suite certifications, and 16 Micro certifications. I am also a certified ServiceNow trainer.
What are your plans for the future in your career and in the ServiceNow industry?
I am enjoying the ride here at GlideFast and plan on sticking around as we continue to grow and enjoy success in the ServiceNow ecosystem. I am primarily focused on ensuring success on each and every project I am involved in, striving to improve on the lessons learned and guiding GlideFast on to many future achievements.
