This ServiceNow Story features Chris Tessier, a Solutions Architect based out of Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
How were you first introduced to ServiceNow? What was your first job using the platform?
I was first introduced to ServiceNow during my years of implementing ITOM and CMDB tools from a large enterprise hardware and printer organization. These tools and suites of applications were terribly difficult to implement and integrate. We would always have to ask our customers to have patience.
I first saw the industry shift to ServiceNow when customers requested we integrate their legacy ITOM tools with ServiceNow. As the ServiceNow platform evolved further, it was obvious that I could support customers in moving all of their IT and Business Applications onto one strategic platform. The consulting organization I was working with at the time made the shift to exclusively implement ServiceNow, and I have never looked back since.
What other jobs have you had working with ServiceNow?
Before joining GlideFast, I cut my teeth implementing ServiceNow for another ServiceNow partner. Over the years I have implemented CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping, and Event Management solutions on ServiceNow.
Some companies I have implemented ServiceNow for include large financial institutions, healthcare organizations, grocery/retail, airlines, and more organizations both small and large.
What are your primary ServiceNow skills?
My core expertise and certifications include CSA, Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, and Application Portfolio Management. My extended expertise and areas of interest are anything that the CMDB touches in ServiceNow.
There is a tremendous amount of value and many capabilities that can be enabled in the Now Platform by having a solid CMDB foundation aligned to the ServiceNow Common Services Data Model (CSDM). By enabling organizations to build out their CMDB, they can easily enable modules, such as Hardware/Software Asset Management and SecOps, and immediately begin achieving quick ROI along with their desired business outcomes.
What are your plans for the future in your career and in the ServiceNow industry?
I am always excited to hear and learn about new ServiceNow modules and capabilities, so I’m looking forward to continually expanding my knowledge in other areas of the platform. The best part about working in such a dynamic platform is being able to share new features with customers and enabling their Digital Transformation. I'm strapped into the GlideFast rocket ship and super excited to see how far we can fly and connect with customers across the globe.
